The Second LTTA in Spain

The 2nd LTTA was held in Institut Europa from the 10th to the 16th of November where the main topic was "Inclusion". The main goal was to make students and teachers aware of the importance of accepting everybody and fighting against all kinds of discrimination.

To achieve that, we visited "Els Espigoladors" (The Gleaners) in Prat del Llobregat (http://espigoladors.cat/en), a non-profit organization that reduces food waste and improves food usage by employing people at risk of social exclusion.

We also attended an on-line workshop prepared by "porCausa" about avoiding reinforcing stereotypes.

A workshop "You could be me" was prepared at school where members of the “Casal dels Infants” NGO explained their task helping migrants (children, youngsters, women...) overcome some of the obstacles they encounter when they arrive in our country.

All these activities were filmed, and the students recorded podcasts in Torre Barrina, a Multimedia studio in l'Hospitalet del Llobregat, where the Erasmus students were trained.

To familiarize ourselves with our culture, we prepared a guided visit to Barcelona (la Pedrera, Casa Batlló, las Ramblas, the Cathedral, the Gothic district, etc.), and the host families prepared a farewell dinner.
