Institut Europa

institutspain.jpg

Institut Europa a Secondary school  located in Barcelona whose main aim is to help students get the Certificate of Secondary Studies and prepare them to go to Vocational Studies or University. Unfortunately, we have to recognize that not all of them succeed and can follow university academic studies. It is a small school with 283 students aged from 12 to 18 years old and
37 teachers. Most of our students are immigrants from South America, Romania, Pakistan, India, etc. whose families have a
poor background.
Taking into account the characteristics of our students, we think that this kind of European project offers them the opportunity to expand their knowledge about different topics and develop their skills such as communication in English,
teamwork with their peers from different countries and having an international friendship network, which diminishes their bias toward other nations. Therefore, we are interested in taking part in Erasmus+ projects. For example, in 2016,we finished titled K2 project "Hard-soft-skilling-charting your career path" aimed to improve students’ communication, presentation, teamwork and problem-solving skills and they interviewed employers and studied the business world. We tried to motivate them to follow future studies and to have a dream and make it come true. In the same year, we took part in another project titled "Inwastegation" based on environmental issues with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of recycling and reusing to protect the planet. In 2021, we launched K220 Erasmus project"Climate Change Challenge" which aims to make students aware of the importance of protecting our environment and finding good solutions.

Agrupamento de Escolas de Pinheiro

The main school was built in 1983 and began teaching 5th grade students as a Preparatory School on 1 February 1984. However, its creation was only made official on 3 November 1984, by Order No. 846/84.

In 1986, by Order no. 212/MEC/86, it also became part of the Unified Secondary School, broadening its educational response in the region. Its name was later changed to C + S de Pinheiro in 1988 by Order no. 136/88 of 29 February. Later, in line with reforms to the education system, it was renamed the Pinheiro 2nd and 3rd Cycle School.

In the 2007/2008 school year, it was renamed the Pinheiro 2nd and 3rd Cycle Primary School with Secondary Education. Escola Básica de 2.º e 3.º Ciclos de Pinheiro became a grouped school by order of the Regional Director of Education for the North on 20th June 2003, under the name Agrupamento Vertical de Escolas de Pinheiro (Pinheiro Vertical Group of Schools), assuming the status of the main school. In the 2007/2008 school year, it also began to integrate secondary education in its vocational area. In 2009/2010, in order to respond to the demands of the environment, the group diversified its educational offer at this level, starting to offer Scientific-Humanistic Courses.

In November 2010, in line with the changes made to the names of schools, the school was renamed Escola Básica e Secundária de Pinheiro (Pinheiro Primary and Secondary School) and the group was renamed Agrupamento de Escolas de Pinheiro.

Gazi Anadolu Lisesi is a state school situated in the Black Sea region. Basic high school weekly course schedules are applied as 40 hours a week. The education focuses on natural and social sciences, as well as foreign languages. English and German are taught as foreign languages. There are 52 teachers and 726 students, aged 13-18. Most of our students come from low economic backgrounds and have fewer opportunities. Among them, 70 are refugees.

Our mission is to educate the students as individuals who are equipped in their fields, open-minded, aware of universal values, learn by adopting rather than memorizing, can use information, express themselves freely and clearly, creative and optimistic towards the world.

We give importance to sports, science, and social activities to enhance their personal improvement and soft skills. For this purpose, volleyball, football, and table tennis teams have been established, and 9 student social clubs are actively engaged in activities.

Lothar-von-Faber-Schule

The Lothar-von-Faber-Schule is a state-run technical secondary school in the metropolitan region of Nuremberg (south of Germany) with education in the fields of design, health, social work, and business and administration. The students go through a two-year schooling period and then take the advanced technical college entrance qualification. In cooperation with various sports associations, we run one class in grades 11, 12, and 13 as a sports performance class and are also an elite soccer school (in cooperation with the DFB). All students in the 11th grade attend a vocational internship in the respective field of education in blocks of about four to five weeks.
